Florida Sheriffs Association President Grady Judd, sheriff of Polk County, said he was "disappointed" in lobbyist Marion Hammer's letter, which he described as "absolutely, totally untrue." Judd went on to say, "We are the first and staunchest defenders of the Second Amendment and always will be. And for [Hammer] to say those ugly, mean things is just not acceptable."

Deputy Robert Lundy honored on Senate floor

Explosion at marijuana grow house in Boca Raton prompts evacuation

A West Boca Raton neighborhood was evacuated on the morning of May 6, after an explosion at what deputies are calling a marijuana grow house. Nobody was inside the home when Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies arrived.
