7 former Florida Supreme Court justices oppose medical marijuana

Seven former Florida Supreme Court justices came out in opposition of a proposed state constitutional amendment for medical marijuana. That's not to say all the former justices necessarily are against using marijuana as medicine, but rather that they think the issue isn't proper for a ballot initiative. Attorney General Pam Bondi and lawmakers opposed the measure, saying the language was unclear and misleading.

Manatee sheriff concerned about armed guards in schools

Moose rider rally to raise money for the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch

The Moose Riders of District 27 will be holding their second bike rally on Saturday Oct. 4 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. at the Bonita Springs Moose Lodge, located at 25101 Old 41 Rd., Bonita Springs Florida. Last year's benefit raised $1500 for the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch.
