See More Sheriff Chitwood: Volusia deputies dive deep to patrol dark web The Daytona Beach News-Journal "You can be nefarious on the dark web, or you can be noble," Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood said. Last month, the Sheriff's Office arrested three local people suspected of running a drug ring through the dark web. A total of 2.8 pounds of cocaine and 4 pounds of methamphetamine were confiscated following a search warrant and all of the contraband was linked to the three suspects. There was a total of 58 charges — 57 of which were felonies. "We kept your children and our children safe from these folks who, in the last week thought 'A-ha! I got me a child,'" Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Tuesday.
