Gov. Rick Scott said that juvenile arrests dropped 7 percent during the 2015-2016 fiscal year, continuing a longer-term trend of fewer juvenile arrests. A release from Scott's office said juvenile arrests were down in the most heavily populated counties — Miami-Dade, Broward, Orange, Palm Beach and Hillsborough.
