Polk Sheriff's Office, Volusia Board of County Commissioners and the City of Fernandina Beach won credits to be used for vehicle repair and maintenance for vehicles purchased off the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) Cooperative Purchasing Program. The FSA gave away three $500 vouchers for service at local dealerships. Agencies who participate in the FSA Cooperative Purchasing Program were eligible to participate if the agency submitted purchase orders for items that were bought off this year’s contract. The current vehicle and heavy equipment contracts started in October 2017 and run through September 2018. The FSA’s Cooperative Purchasing Program provides a venue for local governments to purchase competitively procured items in a single place. Prices for the base specification and options are laid out for purchasers — whether they are in Finance, Fleet Management or Procurement. It's an easy way to purchase vehicles and heavy equipment, and it's a great way to give back to the Association. For more information, visit the FSA's Cooperative Purchasing Program at https://www.flsheriffs.org/law-enforcement-programs/cooperative-purchasing-program.
