August Member Spotlight: Lisa Pollock
When did you realize that you wanted to become an interior designer?
I have always embraced creativity and been drawn to art in one form or another. Around the age of 10, I remember feeling completely uninspired over the lavender shade of wall to wall carpet in my bedroom. I rearranged the furniture and begged my mother to install a more neutral colored rug, or even better, refinish the wood floors beneath. I guess you can say that's when my focus on interiors really started.

Introducing the Shayla Copas Collection with Chelsea House
Shayla Copas writes: It sounds a bit cliche, but this collection with Chelsea House really is a dream come true. During the process, I strove for the dreamy part to be apparent in the designs, too. I wanted a touch of whimsy throughout the collection, and I hope all the bee accents really evoke that feeling. This might be surprising, but I love insects and reptiles, so it felt totally natural for me to incorporate bees in the collection.

Interior Design
A common discussion point in the interiors industry today is the future of the workplace. What will it look like, how will it function and what is the timeline? How safe is it to meet with a client right now? And more coronavirus risks, addressed
Architectural Digest
Restrictions on daily life may have eased since the start of summer, but for many industries, it's far from business as usual. This can be extra challenging for interior designers and architects, for whom the renewed focus on home means that work may be busier than ever.

Here's how your workspace is affecting your mind
Washington Business Journal
By now, we've all seen or read about what the new workspace will look like when we return: spaced workstations, stocks of personal protective equipment, common areas roped off, panels of plexiglass.
