Call for silent auction items

We have begun to accept donations for our popular silent auction, which will take place online during the Annual Global Convention, 12-14 April in Florianopolis, Brazil. Each donor will be listed on our website with their company logo next to the auction item to increase interest ahead of the convention. This is a great opportunity for members to get more exposure and visibility. We encourage all members to donate what they can to help make this year's convention a success. IGLTA shines at FITUR

President/CEO John Tanzella joined members of the IGLTA European ambassador team for FITUR, the annual Spanish tourism trade fair in Madrid, 19-23 January. Association member Diversity Consulting organized the third annual LGBT section at the trade fair, which attracted many governmental officials and dignitaries and raised IGLTA's profile moving toward our 2014 Annual Global Convention in Madrid. Tanzella also did a presentation on the economics of LGBT travel in conjunction with the release of the "Global Report on LGBT Tourism," a collaboration between the United Nations World Tourism Organization and IGLTA.
