IGLTA    Share   E-mail article
Since 2009, IGLTA has been recognized as the cornerstone of the Gay Pavilion at the ITB Berlin travel trade fair — and the 2012 edition was the most successful yet. The official numbers are in: More than 113,000 trade visitors and nearly 60,000 consumers braved the crowds in the 26-hall Messe Berlin Convention Center, visiting 10,644 exhibitors from 187 countries. In the IGLTA stand, more than two-dozen booth share and brochure distribution partners represented nearly 20 countries, including emerging markets like India and Poland. Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit paid an official visit to IGLTA on the opening day. The IGLTA stand was ranked 13th among NGO/Non-Profits by the Cologne Business School for their annual ITB "Best Exhibitor Award," while sister stand Argentina National Institute of Tourism Promotion/Argentina Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce was ranked ninth. Visit the CBS website to see all categories, and check out the photos from ITB on Facebook.
