Taiwan records highest foreign tourist arrival growth worldwide

Taiwan registered the highest growth in foreign tourist arrivals in the world in the first half of the year, according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. In a report, the UNWTO said that foreign tourist arrivals in Taiwan for the first six months of the year rose 26.7 percent from a year earlier, topping Japan's 26.4 percent year-on-year increase, which was the second largest in the world.

Among the speakers were Alessandro Cecchi Paone, Paolo Colombo (sports journalist LA7 TV station), Olga Mazzoni (Chairman of Visit USA Italy). The only region at the Gay Tourism Expo 2014 was Lazio represented by Charles Guarino, who explained how Visit Lazio markets to the LGBT traveler.

Morocco's tourist industry targeted in campaign to free gay holidaymaker
Morocco's tourist board has been targeted in a campaign to free a British holidaymaker jailed for "homosexual acts" in the country. Ray Cole, 69, and his Moroccan companion, Jamal Jam Wald Nass, were recently sentenced to four months in prison after being approached by police at a bus stop in Marakkech on 18 September.
