| Announcing IGLTA's New LGBTQ Travel Chatbot |
IGLTA has teamed up with the Paris-based startup company Hopstay to develop an LGBTQ travel chatbot to assist travelers in planning their trip. The chatbot, which is in beta version and resides within Facebook Messenger, is available on desktop, tablet or smartphone and provides LGBTQ-welcoming travel opportunities worldwide from IGLTA members in more than 80 countries. To see the IGLTA travel chatbot live, go to the IGLTA website and look for the pop up in the bottom right corner of the page or go directly to Facebook Messenger to begin exploring.

Detroit has always had a vibrant, active bar scene with great music, dance clubs and cozy gathering spots. Some of Detroit's legendary bars have been around for decades, like Menjo's that was a youthful hangout spot for Madonna before she become the iconic "Material Girl," Gigi's Cabaret which has the longest running female impersonation stage in the state and The Woodward which has been serving the LGBTQ community for almost 60 years. Like many other big cities that have grown to embrace a more advanced and open attitude towards LGBTQ people, most of the bars and restaurants in and around downtown Detroit welcome all customers – including LGBTQ revelers. There's still something special though about going to a LGBTQ bar and Detroit's LGBTQ community is known for being especially welcoming to newcomers.
