Massachusetts duals demo increases plans' protections against pay rates
InsideHealthPolicy
Duals-demo frontrunner Massachusetts is shielding health plans from a higher level of losses than previously proposed in the state's demonstration to test care coordination for patients with Medicare and Medicaid coverage, and the expansion of the so-called risk corridors could influence other states negotiating three-way contracts with CMS and the private plans that will cover patients, sources say.

The New York Times
For Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, the recent passage of a Medicaid expansion was a major coup.
