A bill that would give state health officials more time to examine options for improving Wyoming's Medicaid program won approval from a state legislative committee. Lawmakers ordered the study earlier this year in anticipation of changes to Medicaid brought on by federal health reform. The new bill, which was passed by the Joint Labor, Health and Social Services Committee, would extend the deadline for completing the study and give the Wyoming Health Department more flexibility to conduct its review.
