The ACA is going back to the Supreme Court; will Missouri Medicaid expansion survive?
Springfield News-Leader via MSN
After years of watching Republican leaders reject Medicaid expansion at the Capitol, Missourians went to the polls in August and overruled them with 53 percent of the vote. The effect could be seismic. Expansion is expected to make over 200,000 more people eligible for state-run coverage in July, pump billions of dollars into the health care system with them and supercharge state budget discussions about how to pay for it all next year.

Cleveland.com via MSN
Plans to require Ohio Medicaid recipients to work 20 hours a week have been delayed because of the coronavirus outbreak. Expanded Medicaid begins in Nebraska after years of dispute
The Associated Press via Omaha World-Herald
Nebraska will officially offer expanded Medicaid coverage to low-income people starting Thursday after years of wrangling over it in the Legislature, a statewide ballot campaign that led voters to approve it and a nearly two-year rollout that left some people in health care limbo. The state will provide coverage to 10,288 residents who have signed up so far, a number roughly in line with the state's projections. State officials expect expanded enrollment to rise to about 90,000 within a few years.

Kansas replaces troubled Medicaid contractor notorious for backlogs, lost documents
The Kansas City Star via MSN
After years of complaints about backlogs and mishandled Medicaid applications, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is parting ways with Maximus, the private for-profit company that administered the KanCare clearinghouse. One of the firms hired by former Gov. Sam Brownback's administration to bring lower costs and private sector efficiency to state government, Maximus instead got poor marks for processing applications and operating KanCare's customer service call center.
