The Fashion Spot
What would a 5 year old need with a facial? Apparently a lot, because spas are starting to cater more to that young demographic. The New York Times published a piece highlighting the growing trend of kid-friendly spas, focused on bringing a dash of luxury to young girls and sometimes boys. Day spa options for kids are cropping up all over the country, offering services to pamper your little one — from banana-scented facials to full-on massage sessions.

"Being an NCEA Certified Esthetician, educator and professional has had a profound change in my life for the better. It is just as important to estheticians for advanced training purposes, support from an association, as well as keeping members involved of changes in the industry and state regulations about the careers we all love. Being the best has only been enhanced from this training and membership. You cannot get the same or even similar benefits from other organizations. This is based on United States standards and job skills that are necessary in today's workplace for esthetic professionals. I would want everyone I have ever taught, worked with and trained in the skin care industry to become part of this elite organization, to better themselves and the profession overall."

By Mayur Kisani
Social media is continuously evolving and rapidly changing. For example, 2014 saw Facebook's controversial changes to its algorithm, which reduced the organic reach of business pages. As 2015 approaches, marketers need to be ready with more personalized and, of course, quality content that is also in tune with the way users will consume content. Here are some trends to keep in mind.
Shift your mentoring into reverse for greater benefits
The Fast Track
Mentoring is often seen as a way for a young employee to gain knowledge from an older worker, but more companies find that setting up reverse mentoring programs can provide payoffs for every employee, no matter their age or rank. The key is making sure the program is structured so that the parameters and expectations are clear for everyone.
Is praise undermining student motivation?
We think of praise as a good thing, even admirable. Don't we praise our kids when they show us the drawing that they made in art class? To be anti-praise is almost like being anti-good person. We praise others in order to motivate them to improve achievement, as well as increase self-esteem. What can possibly be wrong with that?
