When we work out, it's all about the abs, glutes and biceps. But a new gym is targeting an often-ignored set of muscles: the ones behind your smile. Called (what else?) FaceGym, it melds beauty, spa, and, well, face-muscle fitness.

The Titanic Spa, a luxury destination and eco-spa in Huddersfield, U.K., has launched a "no plastic" initiative that will see it completely eliminate the use of plastic bottles, straws and cups in a bid to drastically decrease its plastic waste.

Some experts argue that calorie restriction (including intermittent fasting) is an effective method for helping to slow down the body's aging process, increase longevity and reduce the risk for a variety of diseases. But if slashing your daily calorie intake by up to a third sounds like the end of the world — it certainly does to me — new research conducted by the University of Colorado Boulder reveals there may be a much easier solution.

The crystal-inspired dye job was first spotted by Allure on Las Vegas-based hairstylist, Chita Beseau's Instagram.

Customer Think
When customers have a bad experience, they're often more connected to how they "feel" about it, than the issue itself. And in the age of social media, it's a good bet they'll vent those feelings publicly and create a ripple effect you want to avoid. That's why it's business-critical to pay close attention to every touch point. If you can spot negative impacts early on and come to the rescue quickly, you have an opportunity to turn painful customer experiences into loyalty moments.

Despite recent criticism among business and political commentators, social media networks remain some of the most important and unifying internet platforms. More than 2.5 billion people use social media networks, and that number is expected to grow in the coming years. A decade ago, deciding which marketing media to invest in was simpler and the outlets far fewer. You basically went with offline, online or a combination of both. Now, with more platforms and distractions, brands need to be smarter and more strategic about their targeting to reach the same audience size that they previously did.

Although skin-picking is a relatively common behavior, data concerning factors, which underlie skin-picking severity and functional impairment caused by picking, are still limited. In the present study, we examined whether some emotion regulation strategies (cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression) and personality features influence skin-picking in a university sample; the moderating role of personality traits in the relationship between emotion regulation strategies and skin-picking was also considered.

It's a busy morning in Ms. B's kindergarten class. Students work independently counting collections of shells, marbles and other small objects. Susana chooses a collection of colorful cotton balls and starts placing each ball on a blank one-to-100 chart. Once the chart is full, she starts counting: "One, two, three...." Suddenly, Ms. B calls the students' attention: "Please remember to record the total number of objects in your collection. If you need help writing that number, use the resources in the room. You have two more minutes."

Presented by Michelle Goldsmith
Prescription medications have long been the standard of care for many skin conditions. It is becoming evident that achieving and maintaining healthy skin requires a holistic treatment plan for each patient. Customized daily care regimens that address each patient's unique skin challenges can provide more dramatic outcomes than can be attained with prescriptions alone.
At the end of the webinar the SkinCare Specialist will be able to:
- List the most commonly used prescription medications for cosmetic skin concerns.
- Discuss the mechanism of action of commonly used prescription medications.
- Explore optimal cosmeceutical regimens that work in tandem with medications.
- Elucidate the cosmeceutical ingredients beneficial to various skin concerns and those to avoid.
