If you hear the word "cannabis," do your thoughts turn to edibles or a debate about the merits of Premium Jack versus Grape Stomper?
Sure, years of popular movies, TV shows and music have elevated the stoner stereotype to the top of the pop culture heap. But cannabis is making its mark in another arena, and the utterance that caught your attention may have pertained to hairstyling products, soaps or body lotions.
The beauty world is embracing cannabis like never before.

Becoming an entrepreneur may be one of the most challenging things you've ever done, but it's probably also one of the most rewarding. Day-to-day, you're focused on your business. But have you given much thought to the bigger picture: How are you, as an entrepreneur, impacting society, and even the world? Joe Carlen, author of "A Brief History of Entrepreneurship," says entrepreneurship is more impactful than most people realize in changing history's path.
Retail skin care products offer several benefits to aesthetic patients and practices. They help patients protect the health of their skin and maintain the results of in-office treatments, while providing an additional source of ongoing revenue for the practice. The challenge is that with so many online and brick-and-mortar retailers offering high-end skin care, patients naturally shop for the best deals on their favorite brands. One way to both keep revenue within your business and ensure that patients are using products that offer the greatest benefits for their concerns is to carry a private label line. The process of launching your own skin care line may seem daunting, but it can be done at relatively low cost with a surprising amount of manufacturer support.

When was the last time you looked at your subscriber list, and I mean really looked at it? Do you know who your real audience is? What's your bounce rate? It's easy to set your subscriber list and forget it so you can focus on the content — because content is, after all, king. But the foundation of every successful email campaign is a well-maintained subscriber list. A clean email list provides more accurate statistics and improves deliverability rates.

Chronic exposure of the skin to solar UV radiation induces a number of biological alterations, including a redox imbalance; therefore, there is an urgent need for skin cells protective compounds. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of natural, previously extensively examined, polyphenol with antioxidant properties — rutin, on UV-induced skin fibroblasts membrane disruption.
We live in a stressful world, and the stress is heightened for students and educators when it's time to prepare for high-stakes tests. When test scores are tied to school funding, teacher evaluations and students' future placement, the consequences of these stressors can be far-reaching. From a neurological perspective, high stress disrupts the brain's learning circuits and diminishes memory construction, storage, and retrieval. Neuroimaging research shows us that, when stresses are high, brains do not work optimally, resulting in decreased understanding and memory. In addition, stress reduces efficient retrieval of knowledge from the memory storage networks, so when under pressure students find it harder to access information previously studied and learned.
E-learning has depended heavily on online courses, and the traditional approaches to these courses works for some students. However, others have a hard time fitting life into their school schedule, and simply can't keep up with the pace of working with a professor. That's where self-paced online courses come in.
