The Federal Trade Commission recently announced their first ever enforcement action against a provider of intravenous therapy for making unsupported claims about the health benefits of their IV treatments. It's not commonplace for clients to readily admit some of the horrible and unsafe things that they do to their skin. But when they do — or when you have a suspicion that they do — it's important to encourage clear and honest communication about it. After all, if we do not have a complete understanding of our spa and medical spa clients' habits and lifestyle choices, then we cannot recommend and perform safe treatments.

Customer Think
This morning, you likely did a bunch of things: woke up, had breakfast, maybe took care of children or pets, got dressed, made your way to work, and so forth. Researchers know memory retrieval is beneficial for learning, but their new meta-analysis found there are limits. The research shows the frequency and difficulty of questions can reverse the effect and be detrimental to learning. It also is not enough to simply ask a question; students must respond to see a positive effect on learning.

Technology in education will likely increase in the future. More students are likely to participate in something similar to the Cowboy State Virtual Academy, an online school started earlier this year by Sheridan County School District 1.
The CSVA is relatively small, though, serving about a dozen students. Meanwhile, a full-time online school already exists in Wyoming. Wyoming Connections Academy is a public online school that serves students from across Wyoming in grades K-12 under the umbrella of Big Horn County School District 1.

The behavior of a cell depends on how its adhesion molecules interact with the cellular micro-environment. Hemidesmosomal collagen XVII essentially contributes to cell adhesion and modulates keratinocyte directionality and proliferation during skin regeneration, however only little is known about the involved interactions. Here, we used keratinocytes from patients with junctional epidermolysis bullosa with late onset, which exclusively produce a collagen XVII mutant with the p.R1303Q mutation within its extracellular C-terminus.
