BUSINESS BRIEFS
How to be a thought leader
Forbes
We've heard a lot about thought leaders in recent years. Being known as a thought leader has the potential to draw business to you because you and your business are seen as having answers to people's problems. The best examples of thought leaders are such modern-day Olympians as Jim Collins, Malcolm Gladwell, Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffett — the kind of people normal mortals believe can see things they don't see, because, in fact, they often can.

MARKETING 101
MULTIBRIEFS EXCLUSIVE
How to use visual storytelling to grow your business
By John Allen
Many of you will have heard the saying, "Content is king!" And while content is still extremely important, what is really "king" is the ability to grab your audience’s attention, keep it, and engage them with your brand. Marketing is usually the first touchpoint for customer experience, and first impressions are extremely difficult to change. It’s vital that you get this right. Easier said than done, right? Wrong. What you really need to know about is visual storytelling. Studies have shown that blog posts with visuals drive up to 180% more engagement than those without.

This call-tracking technology is helping small business' get more from their marketing
ComputerWorld
It's hard to believe that we've been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic for more than half a year now. During these past several months, we saw businesses and consumers change their behavior drastically based on public safety precautions and personal confidence, but the behavioral data might surprise you.
CallRail found that businesses experienced a 26% drop in call volume on average at the start of the pandemic up until mid-April.
However, SMBs actually saw a major increase in call volume and duration in mid-May as states and counties loosened lockdown restrictions.

TEACHING TIPS
Using chat techniques
Teaching Channel
"The Chat" is one of the key tools available to educators teaching online, and one of the best tools for building dynamic, active and inclusive learning environments. You might even call it a "silver lining": a small thing that works better online even if the overall context of online learning is not nearly as good as a real classroom. Using the chat involves asking students to respond to a question in whatever meeting platform you are using. It's primary benefits are its speed, visibility and simplicity. Students can write without having to open a new window or toggle to a new place so they can be writing within seconds and you can bring pace and energy to your classes.

NCEA Certified: What it means to you ...
"Being able to focus my energy on developing my professional credentials has been a dream of mine. Becoming a higher level Esthetician and obtaining the education has helped me feel confident in my future. Growing in this profession looks different state-to-state, but the National Esthetician Certification–NCEA Certified credential, really fills the gap. Define yourself not by what others expect of you, but by what you see inside yourself." ~ Mallori DuVall, Boardman, OH
|
|
Attaining the National Esthetician Certification is the highest voluntary credential in the United States — raising the standards of Estheticians beyond entry-level licensure. Based upon a 1,200-hour Job Task Analysis, the NCEA Certified credential is equivalent to the Master Esthetician license that is currently only available in four (4) states in the country (UT, WA, VA, DC).
The NCEA Certified credential signifies the value and credibility for consumers in determining the expertise and training of an Esthetician.
