The Holland Tunnel helped turn New Jersey into the commuting state it is

It was on Oct. 12, 1920, that the groundbreaking for the Holland Tunnel took place. While the price of the tolls and the amount of congestion make it the bane of many commuters' lives, it was an engineering marvel of its time. It was planned and built by the New Jersey Interstate Bridge and Tunnel Commission and the New York State Bridge and Tunnel Commission.

Construction continues on 2 major Bridgewater roadways

As part of Somerset County's 2020 Road Resurfacing Project, construction will continue on two major Bridgewater roadways Friday.
On Friday, ADA ramp construction and pipework will take place on (CR525) Washington Valley Road and Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater.

Study: New Jersey ranked third-safest state to drive in the country

Despite a reputation of having lead-footed drivers, New Jersey ranked the third-safest place to drive in the country, according to national study. Citing comparatively lower rates of speeding and alcohol-related deaths, the Garden State was deemed the 48th most dangerous state to drive by Reviews.com, with Minnesota coming in at 49 and Massachusetts being declared the safest state.

Survey finds contractors fear long-term business implications of COVID-19
