The Coast Guard is searching for a diver who went missing near Deerfield Beach, Florida. The 55-year-old man was diving half a mile south of Deerfield Beach recently with a group on the Lady Go Diver, a commercial diving boat. But, when the group resurfaced, he didn’t, according to the Coast Guard. The search and rescue mission is continuing by air and water. The Broward Sheriff’s Office is also assisting with the search.

Two men from Iowa drowned in a boating incident recently on Lake Oahe near Mobridge, Iowa, according to a news release from the Walworth County, Iowa, Sheriff's Office. The dispatch center in Mobridge received a call stating that a boat was taking on water. The boat was near Deadman's Cove, which is on the Missouri River. "Upon Law Enforcement arrival, two males had been located and discovered to be deceased," the release reads.

Active’s crew, which returned Friday, executed the fast-paced patrol enforcing federal fisheries regulations along the coasts. Investigators completed a two-week examination of the charred wreckage of a scuba diving boat and could not determine what ignited the fire that killed 34 people off the Southern California coast, a law enforcement official recently. The boat, named Conception, was anchored just off Santa Cruz Island when it caught fire and sank early on September 2. It was raised and brought to Port Hueneme, a naval base northwest of Los Angeles, where specially trained teams from the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives tried to figure out what sparked the blaze.

A Coast Guard crew captured a 40-foot (12-meter) long submarine recently that was carrying nearly 5.5 tons of cocaine worth US$ 164 million. A patrol plane first spotted the submarine and informed the Coast Guard crew which then intercepted the submarine in the waters of the Pacific Ocean. With the help of Colombia's NAVI, authorities apprehended four suspected drug smugglers and seized the cocaine. "The joint boarding successfully stopped a drug smuggling vessel and also strengthened international relations and communications between the two partner nations," the Coast Guard said in a statement.

Recently, a father and his two children who set off from Plymouth, Massachusetts, boat ramp were briefly declared missing when they didn’t return from their trip, the Coast Guard reported. After a boat and helicopter search launched by the Coast Guard, the boaters were reported found safe early the next morning in their disabled vessel off of Scituate, Massachusetts. The 39-year-old departed Plymouth with his children, ages five and six, in the morning in their Wellcraft power boat, according to Coast Guard officials.

Officials have identified the two people involved in boating accident in Fall River, Massachusetts, recently. Authorities identified the driver of a blue powerboat as Marc Hanoud, 35, of Berkley, Massachusetts, who was thrown overboard and remained missing. Officials identified a passenger as Brent Osborne, 42, of Middleborough, Massachusetts, who was also thrown from the boat and found in the water by another boater. He died at a hospital.
