Giving Thanks
Harvard Health Publishing
Giving thanks can make you happier. In a 2021 article from Harvard Health with that very title (https://www.health.harvard.edu/healthbeat/giving-thanks-can-make-you-happier), it is stated that "In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships."
With that thought in mind, let us give thanks for all the things that enrich, empower, energize, and elevate us – you. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the maritime professionals throughout the country.
Let us also keep in mind those around us that this time of year is brings sadness, anxiety, or depression. As the article explains, sharing this ‘Spirit of Gratitude’ during this Thanksgiving season can actually lift the spirits of others. Let us all be thankful for the gifts we have been given – each other, and lift each other up in the process.
Onward and forward.
