NMLEA to Release Newest LMS… at No Cost
If you remember, the Academy introduced you to aLEX back in May (for the full story, click here), an Accessible, Adaptable and Affordable Learning Exchange. Now, a new Learning Management System, custom made for the Academy and its partners will be released with the capability to integrate blended learning, virtual instructor-led training, and other tools into the platform.

“As more and more public safety agencies and maritime stakeholders are dealing with training and resource constraints in this challenging environment, the move towards digital learning is a necessity,” said NMLEA Executive Director Mark DuPont. “And with over a decade of experience in this space as the primary and singular provider of MTSA required training with a catalog of over 400 courses through our online learning portal (PortTraining) we are able to provide the maritime community with these extensive resources.”

The Academy provides agencies access to the MTSA training, along with the ability to transform their Instructor-Led (ILT) training courses to a digital delivery through the aLEX Program. The proprietary Learning Management System is made available free of charge to agencies and organizations utilizing the platform for PortTraining courses, or to develop virtual training solutions for their personnel.

For more information on how you can utilize the Academy’s Learning Management System or to transform you ILT courses to online deliveries, contact us at info@nmlea.org.
