We would like to invite you to the 44th Annual NOBCChE Conference and K-12 STEM Week held at the Raddison Blu Hotel in Minneapolis, MN Oct. 30 - Nov. 3. This year's conference is themed We Are NOBCChE: Community, Leadership, and Partnerships. NOBCChE is an inclusive community of STEM leaders focused on catalyzing STEM partnerships for the 21st Century, and we hope that the workshops and sessions at the 44th conference convey this message. President Donald Trump directed the Education Department to invest a minimum of $200 million in grant funding each year to expand STEM and computer science education in schools, signing a presidential memorandum Monday. On Tuesday, Sept. 26, the private sector announced an accompanying pledge of over $300 million for computer science programs.

Americans tend to differ over the best career advice to give high school students, with younger adults urging them to follow their dreams and older Americans telling them they should enter occupations in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in May.
In an open-ended question, respondents were asked, “If a current high school student asked you for advice on what sort of career they should pursue, what would you tell them?”
