RV loan delinquency rate falls
American Bankers Association
Consumer loan delinquencies continued to decline in the third quarter of last year, falling in seven out of 11 categories as the economy improved and consumers responsibly managed their finances, according to results from the American Bankers Association's latest Consumer Credit Delinquency Bulletin. Among the loan categories showing improvement were RV loan delinquencies, which fell from 1.09 percent to 1.03 percent.

Low gas prices driving RV interest

Bottom-of-the-barrel gas prices are helping drive interest in the RV lifestyle, say industry experts. Tourists can pack up the family and take a long summer drive for less than it costs to fly, especially since airlines with locked-in fuel costs haven't yet passed along fuel savings to passengers. And there's been strong consumer interest at both ends of the RV spectrum, from the $1 million King Aire to the small "Tab" trailers light enough to be towed behind a car.

Entrance fees to national parks waived for Monday holiday
The Associated Press via The Colorado Springs Gazette
Entrance into national parks will be free next Monday in commemoration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The National Park Service will also waive entrance fees on eight other days this year: Feb. 14-16 for Presidents' Day weekend; April 18-19 to mark the start of National Park Week; Aug. 25 to mark the anniversary of the park service; Sept. 26 for National Public Lands Day; and Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.

Americans spending plenty of cash on outdoor recreation

Outdoor recreation leaders reported good sales for 2014 and expect even stronger market growth in 2015, according to a report from the American Recreation Coalition. Americans spend more than $650 billion annually on equipment ranging from skis to RVs and on services such as fishing licenses and whitewater outings. The outdoor industry supports millions of jobs in manufacturing, sales and service.

Facebook still king on social media, with highest engagement
