Debt-ceiling bill clears House, heads to Senate

A divided U.S. House voted to let the government borrow enough money to pay its bills for the next year, sending the measure to the Senate. The bill would eliminate any chance of default on $17.2 trillion in debt — and the potential economic fallout that would ensue — until March 2015.

Obamacare requirements delayed for some employers

It's the second round of delays to the employer mandate, which will require all businesses with 50 or more full-time workers to provide health coverage or pay a fine. The mandate was originally supposed to start this year, but after pressure from business groups, it got pushed back. Winnebago, Ram tease Chicago with winter escape RV

Winnebago and Ram are showing off the 2014 Winnebago Travato, a Class B motorhome based on the Ram ProMaster chassis. Roughly the length of a full-size pickup truck at 20 feet, the relatively compact Travato could sit in the driveway off to the side and once the thermometer drops into negative territory, this home would be pointing south.

RVDA members: Minimize the impact of UPS and FedEx rate increases

FedEx and UPS' recently announced annual small-package rate increases are now in effect, but RVDA dealer and associate members can save money using Partnership shipping services. Ally Financial is sticking with dealer reserve

Ally Financial, one of the largest auto lenders in the United States, will continue dealer reserve in defiance of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Ally CEO Michael Carpenter made the announcement during the annual car dealers convention, telling reporters that the company was not going to "cave." Industry watchers said the company's decision will reverberate through the industry.
