Rise above the competition — participate in Certification Week
The RV Learning Center
"If you want to separate yourself from the competition, then train, train and train some more," says RVDA Chairman of the Board Jeff Hirsch. "Allow your people to separate your company from the pack." The RV Learning Center has designated March 10-16 as RV Professional Certification Week. Individuals who take the certification test during that week will receive a free, one-year subscription to RV Technician magazine.

Will RV sales survive squeeze?
South Bend Tribune
The name of the game in RV retail is consumer confidence, and things appear to be consistently heading in the right direction. Mark Bowersox, executive director of the Recreation Vehicle Indiana Council, was pleased with January's shipment numbers and also believes the federal sequester may very well have no effect on consumer confidence and spending. "It used to be any little blip in the stock market, fuel prices, or unemployment numbers would have people stop and wait until everything settled down," he says. But nowadays, "things that would have gotten an emotional reaction are more easily accepted."

Business 2 Community
Business in the RV industry is getting better — a lot better. There's continued talk in the media about a recession, but it's not in this industry. RV lifestyle drawing a younger following
The Denver Post
Jeff and Dorenda Bell threaded their way through a majestic fleet of Berkshires and Charlestons, as well as the more modest Ever-Lites and Grey Wolfs. They're not in the market for a high-end RV but wanted to fantasize just a bit about tooling around the country in a $600,000 McMansion on wheels. Mother Nature Network

Each trailer has been renovated to combine timeless, retro appeal with modern, earth-friendly features such as locally sourced hardwood flooring, recycled glass tiling, LED lighting and dual-flush toilets. And, of course, there are the standard amenities you'd expect at any high-end hotel — 500-thread count sheets, "screaming fast WiFi," wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, mini-bars and fully equipped electric kitchens. The No. 1 reason why your business isn't growing
Dewane Mutunga (blog)
What separates the bench warmers from the rock stars of the business world? Their varying degrees of success with PGA, or profit generating activities. There are so many different things to manage when running a business that it's easy to lose focus of what's really important. Only a select few things are responsible for the majority of a company's success, but most people try to juggle too much, lack focus or just don't know what to focus on.

Tax breaks that can help you hire and keep employees
American Express OPEN Forum
