Special RVDA webinar today: When it comes to compliance, RV dealerships are different
Mike Molino RV Learning Center
Regulations for RV and auto dealerships are often similar, but there are critical differences you need to know. Brett Richardson, RVDA's own director of legal and regulatory affairs, will co-present a free webinar today designed specifically to highlight those differences so RV dealers can stay in compliance. Richardson and KPA Environmental Health & Safety Product Vice President Eric Schmitz will discuss RV-specific laws such as forklift regulations, USDOT numbers and CDLs, RV-specific OSHA regulations, and more. The webinar is free and starts today at noon ET.

RVDA supports bipartisan bill to stop CFPB attack on vehicle financing
RVDA
RVDA backs a bill recently introduced in the House that would prevent the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from eliminating vehicle financing discounts. Introduced by Reps. Frank Guinta (R-NH) and Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), H.R. 1737 would repeal a controversial 2013 CFPB bulletin that pressures lending institutions to do away with financing discounts. RVDA believes dealer-assisted financing promotes competitive financing rates for consumers and is good for business. The association will keep members updated on this bill and other actions to protect dealer-assisted financing.

Why Ford reinvented the best-selling vehicle in America
Popular Mechanics
Here's the thing about driving the 2015 F-150: It's totally normal. That's what's so gutsy about Ford's decision to forgo steel, the metal of skyscrapers and battleships. The F-150 aluminum program is a hugely challenging manufacturing and logistic reboot for the most important vehicle in America, yet the benefits are invisible. You can tell Ford is a bit conflicted about how to promote its move to aluminum. They want to make a big deal out of it while simultaneously reassuring truck buyers they haven't done anything too radical.

The 'small' RV can be the perfect fit for travel and fun
The Daily Sentinel
While large, luxurious RVs will always have an audience, Transwest Truck Trailer RV of Grand Junction, CO, has noticed recently that smaller RVs – Class Bs and even some Class Cs – are becoming increasingly popular. “These are perfect for the weekend warrior,” says sales manager Mark Love. They’re also popular with campers, hikers, bikers, hunters, and business people who travel. The units can go places that taller motorhomes can’t, they’re easier to maneuver, and they get decent gas mileage.
