RVDA seeking nominations for James B. Summers Award

RVDA is seeking nominations for the James B. Summers Award, which honors individuals for consistent and outstanding service to the association. The award, created in 1986, is named after RVDA's former executive vice president. To be eligible, an individual must have served the association for five years or more and can't be a current elected member of the association's board of directors. To nominate an individual, please submit a narrative describing his or her contributions and explaining why the nominee should be selected. The board of directors chooses the recipient, who is announced during the convention in October. Please send nominations by May 31 to Ronnie Hepp (

Many manufacturers tell RVDA they use results from the association's Dealer Satisfaction Index survey to adjust policies and procedures that affect dealers, so it's vital that all dealer members participate. Results from the survey will be presented at brand committee meetings during the RV Dealers International Convention and Expo in Las Vegas, scheduled for October 3-7. The RV Learning Center scholarship program provides two $2,500 awards annually to deserving sophomore, junior or senior undergraduates majoring in business, finance, economics, accounting or other RV-related subjects. Dealers are able to offer this opportunity to their team specifically because of their employment in the RV industry. The RV Learning Center has also developed a poster that can be downloaded and displayed on employee bulletin boards. More
