Quality Circle Awards to be presented at 2011 RV Dealers International Convention and Expo

RVDA will present the association's Dealer Satisfaction Index Quality Circle Awards to top-performing manufacturers at a special all-industry dinner at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Oct. 5, during the 2011 RV Dealers International Convention andExpo. Dealers have until July 1 to rate the brands—manufacturers they carry on eight factors of importance to dealers. Those areas include: sales support, sales territory, vehicle design, vehicle reliability—quality, competitive price—value, parts support, dealership warranty support, and overall dealer communications. The Go RVing Coalition is moving forward with production of an all new integrated television, print and digital campaign with the theme "Away." The new campaign, developed by The Richards Group with the assistance of a creative work group of 16 coalition representatives from all segments of the industry and Canada, represents a strategy shift back to the emotion‑driven family focus of past campaigns, with a continued underlying emphasis on the affordability and flexibility of RV travel and camping. Rick Thomas drove from Arkansas and set up camp with his RV at the Charlotte, N.C., Motor Speedway campgrounds. "I'm a NASCAR fan, and Charlotte was a track I just had to go to this year," he says. Everett Brooks, who also made the trek, says not even high gas prices could keep him away from the races.
