RV dealers ready for Green Country show
Tulsa World    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
RV dealers in the Tulsa, OK, area have seen a sudden demand for fifth-wheel trailers as sales of Class A motorhomes have waned, and they're expecting a good crowd at this weekend's show. "The advent of a lot of these fifth wheels with toy haulers has really created interest," says show organizer Phil Keeter, referring to the designated storage area in the back of trailers for motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles. The fifth wheel's popularity is aided by the popularity of pickup trucks — especially diesel-fueled vehicles — in the region. More

Campers take advantage of tech-friendly sites
Journal and Courier    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
It used to be that campers would take their RVs or tents and head into the woods to be rid of the electrical devices that distract and occupy our daily lives. However, as technology becomes more mobile, it’s increasingly difficult to disconnect, even in the woods. Today, more campers request that campsites offer Wi-Fi so they can stay connected, and campground owners are accommodating them. More

The difference between 'bought' and 'sold'
Inside Indiana Business    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Businesses need to take a hard look at their products and determine if consumers "buy" them or if they need to be "sold." If your products need to be "sold," your challenges include explaining how they can make customers' lives better, conveying the emotional benefits they provide, and explaining why your benefits outweigh those of others. Whether you have something that needs to be "bought" or "sold," marketing is the key. Through integrated marketing and knowing where to place your strategies, you stand a better chance of communicating the right key messages to the right key drivers of needs and wants. More

Techniques to minimize RV insurance claims
Live Insurance News    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The most common reason for RV insurance claims is that owners forget to take simple but crucial steps to prevent problems, such as forgetting to lock the door, neglecting to unhook the plumbing and utility connections, or leaving the awning down. Are small businesses protecting themselves from data breaches?
ARA via Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
A recent report by Verizon found that nearly three-quarters of data breaches it analyzed last year involved businesses with 100 employees or fewer. "Most small-business owners simply don't believe they're at risk," says Lynn LaGram, assistant vice president of small commercial underwriting for The Hartford. "The reality is that small businesses are often more vulnerable." Data breaches can involve electronic or paper records, says LaGram, who shares eight "best practices" for data protection. More
