Ford bets consumers will snap up high-end pickup trucks
Reuters
Ford announced this week that it’s planning a $60,000+ luxury version of the F-150 pickup to meet U.S. consumers’ growing demand for trucks with amenities that rival those of high-end German sedans. The 2016 F-150 Limited, which goes on sale later this year, will be a step up from the automaker's current top-of-the-line pickup, the F-150 Platinum. Low gasoline prices and better fuel economy have boosted demand for feature-laden trucks and large SUVs, helping the bottom lines of the three Detroit automakers.

It's like having a cabin with you everywhere you go." Andy Johnson, a salesman from RVDA member Bullyan RV, says, "Everything you have at home, you're going to have on the road. Why a CEO worth $840 million lives in a RV park with his pet alpaca
The Washington Post
With a net worth of $840 million, Zappos.com CEO Tony Hsieh could have a Caribbean island or a palatial estate overlooking an ocean vista. Instead, he lives in an Airstream in the middle of Las Vegas, surrounded by other Airstreams that he rents out to visiting computer coders. He says he sees his neighbors a lot more now than when he lived on the 23rd floor of a luxury apartment building.
