Republican election victories could change regulatory landscape for dealers
RVDA
Having won control of both houses of Congress, Republicans will take aim at regulatory initiatives supported by the Obama administration, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Obamacare. There are a number of House bills pending that would curb the CFPB, including a bipartisan bill supported by RVDA that would repeal auto lending guidance that affects dealer-assisted financing for consumers. An outright repeal of Obamacare will be difficult, since Republicans are short of the votes need to overcome filibusters and would need Democratic support to override a presidential veto.

Joe Maddon met with Cubs execs in his RV
Yahoo Sports
One of the biggest deals for a manager in Major League Baseball history got done behind an RV. Joe Maddon is probably the most unconventional manager in baseball, so it’s no surprise that his meeting with Chicago Cubs executives Theo Epstein and Jed Hoyer was also unconventional. Maddon and his wife were on a cross-country trip, camping near Pensacola. So Epstein and Hoyer met him at the RV park. "We sat behind 'Cousin Eddie'— that's our RV — and talked philosophy about how this was going to work," said Maddon. Cousin Eddie is a 43-foot Winnebago named after a vehicle in the "Vacation" movies. Maddon reportedly signed a five-year $25 million contract with the Cubs.
