The Bigfoot Portfolio: Let sleeping Yetis lie
The Motley Fool    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Unlike some better-known stock market stars that are currently going through mission shake-ups and missteps, Thor Industries appears to be doing everything right, says Jon Quast, a blogger for The Motley Fool. Its revenue has grown by an average of 26 percent over the past three years, earnings per share grew more than 17 percent last year, and stocks have appreciated some 75 percent this year. "As an investor, I don't want a big change in leadership or a big shift in vision. What [Thor] is doing is working. It's profitable. I don't want a 'fix;' I want more of the same." More

'Artie' the RV is the baddest Giants mobile at MetLife Stadium
WLNY-TV    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Of all the tour buses, jeeps, RVs and other assorted fan vehicles that make their way into MetLife Stadium for every New York Giants game, one claims the reputation for being the baddest — a 26-foot-long, 1980 Sport Coach motorhome named Artie. Owned by a group of diehard fans called the Big Blue Tailgaters, Artie is the site of a tailgate party that has been setting Lot L on fire for years. More

The Day    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
While his family waited in a long line to take advantage of Thursday night shopping hours at the local mall in Waterford, CT, Jim Pepas set up a grill, a coffee pot and some lawn chairs in his RV, which he parked nearby to provide a refuge from the cold when they needed a break. "I'll stay here and hold down the fort. I've got the heat on in here, it's got a bathroom, all the luxuries of life," he said of his RV. More

After small Thanksgiving spike, gas prices expected to continue to fall
Orlando Business Journal    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
Gas prices in some parts of the country spiked just before the Thanksgiving holiday because of violence and tension in the Middle East, AAA reports. Prices rose in the Southeast — in some places, by 5 cents per gallon — but the national average remained relatively flat. AAA believes prices likely will begin decreasing again now that tensions in the Middle East have eased. More
