More Southern Californians are taking to the highways for the holidays and forgoing the cost of air travel. RVDA member El Monte RV rented out 56 RVs to local families over the Thanksgiving holiday, General Manager Edward Calderon said. "This is our busiest holiday for rentals," Calderon said. "All of our biggest RVs are rented." More




Keystone RV boosting production

Another Elkhart County company is revving up production to keep pace with rising demand for RVs. Keystone RV will move into a vacant factory in the Goshen industrial park where the company has its headquarters and hire 100 people by early January to increase production of the company's Montana brand, said Bob Martin, the company's executive vice president. Keystone's announcement last week was the latest in a streak of good news for the RV industry. More


Report shows that camping is on the rise

If you spent any time camping this summer and fall, you weren't alone. A report that examined trends in outdoor recreation this past year determined that 7.4 percent more people went car and backyard camping this summer than last year. The report, the "Special Report on Camping," was conducted by The Outdoor Foundation and The Coleman Co. Inc. More
