This offense occurred two years ago, and the offices are, again, asking for the public's assistance in solving these crimes.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man found dead with several gunshot wounds at an event venue Sunday night.
According to Sheriff Greg Taylor, deputies were called out to the event venue in the 6000 block of US 79 north of Palestine around 7 p.m. Sunday night. Taylor said Juan Ramirez, a 45-year-old Anderson County resident, was found dead with several gunshot wounds.

The Lubbock Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety and the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office held a briefing Wednesday morning regarding a new operation to prevent fatal crashes. DPS reports the most common reasons for fatal crashes for the past three years include speeding, ignoring stop signs or traffic lights and failing to yield right of way when turning left.

A police officer in Texas dodged danger when a truck smashed into his patrol vehicle, plowing it into a tow wrecker, video shows.
Just minutes earlier, the officer warned a stranded driver of that same danger.
Lufkin police officer Cody Deal responded to a two-vehicle crash that didn't have injuries early Thursday, Jan. 23, according to a news release.
