A 35-year-old man shot and killed his wife after smoking meth in a truck before the couple was supposed to be headed to a store, the Wilson County Sheriff's Office said.
The fatal shooting happened on North Sixth Street in Stockdale. The sheriff's office said the couple's children were in the yard during the time of the shooting.

Project Lifesaver is a bracelet for people who have dementia or Alzheimer's disease, or for children with special needs who tend to wander off. It makes it easier for law enforcement to locate them.

Bexar County will test a new drug treatment program for county jail inmates that uses a medication that costs $1,000 a dose, but members of the county’s Joint Opioid Task Force think it will be worth the expense.
The program will be the first in Bexar County to use shots of naltrexone -- under the brand name Vivitrol -- to treat addicted inmates before and after they are released from jail.
