Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office

In efforts to help keep inmates and essential county employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office will be providing face masks sewn by inmates.
On April 6, the Fort Bend County Detention's sewing program started making face masks. Inmates participating in the sewing program are making approximately 100 masks a day. The masks will be distributed to all inmates and jail employees. It will then be expanded to all essential county employees.
"It is crucial to protect essential workers during this unprecedented pandemic," said Sheriff Troy Nehls. "We must be innovative and use all of our resources to keep our inmates, employees and their families safe."
