Henderson County deputies have arrested four people following a gaming room bust Tuesday night, according to Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, and discovered evidence of a recently-active methamphetamine lab. Hillhouse said the raid came around 7 p.m. at a location off of County Road 2803, outside of Eustace. The Sheriff said 44 gambling machines and more than $9,000 in cash were seized. A total of 11 patrons were also cited for gambling.

Two Granbury High School students drowned at the Wheeler Branch Reservoir near Glen Rose on Monday, officials said. Julio Espinosa-Guerrero, 17, and Oscar Rios, 18, were flown to a hospital in Fort Worth, where they were pronounced dead, according to a Texas Game Warden spokesperson. Hood County Sheriff Roger Deeds confirmed the drownings. The Wheeler Branch Reservoir is in neighboring Somervell County, southwest of Fort Worth.

A deputy constable in Texas appeared to have an unfriendly run-in with a cow on Thursday while he was reportedly on patrol duties. Harris County Deputy Andrew Ries was working that night in an area northeast of Houston when he came across some motorists that had apparently had some sort of traffic incident, according to The Associated Press. Ries soon reportedly found out that one of the vehicles hit a cow.
