A Fort Worth man is believed to have killed his two young children and set fire to a car with their bodies inside before he fatally shot himself, according to the Cooke County Sheriff's Office, a justice of the peace and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
The children's bodies were found in the back seat of a burning car in Cooke County on Sunday, and their father's body was found Monday in a wooded area near the crime scene.

The girlfriend of a man charged in the fatal shooting of a Texas sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop has also been charged in the officer's death, authorities said.
An arrest affidavit alleges that Arlene Pina, 20, can be heard on police video saying "beat that (expletive)" in Spanish after her boyfriend, Facundo Chavez, started striking El Paso County sheriff's Deputy Peter Herrera following the gunshots.

A Texas man has been charged with killing 12 elderly women, and police are now reexamining hundreds of other deaths to see if he might be connected.
A Dallas County grand jury Tuesday returned six capital murder indictments against Billy Chemirmir, 46, in connection with the deaths of the six women in 2016 and early 2018. A second grand jury in Collin County indicted Chemirmir on five other murder charges on Tuesday, but details didn't become available until Thursday.

San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera believes the body of a 27-year-old Corpus Christi man was dumped in a creek. A construction worker found the body of Alfredo Vasquez in a creek on County Road 2004 on Tuesday morning. Sheriff's Office investigators responded to the area just west of Portland. Vasquez was found floating in a narrow portion of a creek. Rivera suspects foul play.

The NCSO says the new DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise drone is equipped with a FLIR thermal camera, spotlight, beacon strobe light and speaker, which will allow the pilot to talk to a lost or missing person or give voice commands to a suspect.

An 18-year-old Ozark, Missouri, man is dead after a stranger allegedly shot him earlier this week in Texas, according to law enforcement officials. Justin Ray Cross was at a home May 13 in Tyler, Texas, when he was shot, according to a press release from the Smith County Sheriff's Office.

Three people reportedly caught in the act of robbing a southwest Houston Walgreens store are believed to be responsible for six other robberies at other Walgreens locations throughout the Houston area, deputies said.
Edward James Priestly, 31, Lenishia Williams, 29, and Roy Battle, 29, are now behind bars for the string of alleged robberies, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office. They were arrested after a joint operation between the sheriff's office and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
