The Navarro County Sheriff's Office is investigating after finding a huge illegal marijuana grow near Angus, Texas. The sheriff's department started tweeting about the bust early Tuesday morning, saying they discovered, "thousands of plants in various stages of growth in three separate fields."

A sheriff's report shows that a Honduran man who entered the U.S. illegally killed himself in a Texas jail despite guards checking on him every half-hour and a camera in his padded cell. The Starr County Sheriff's Office says in an incident report that 39-year-old Marco Antonio Munoz was found unresponsive in his cell on the morning of May 13, a day after U.S. Border Patrol agents brought him to the jail. It says video footage showed Munoz used a sweater to strangle himself.

A south Texas man says he was cleaning his bathroom when his 6-year-old son alerted him. A five-foot snake was slithering out of the toilet and climbing toward a window. Bee County Sheriff's deputies were called. In a Facebook post, the sheriff's office says Deputy Lindsay Scotten retrieved the snake in the bathroom vanity, then released it into the brush.
