Sheriff's deputies say a helicopter search crew successfully located a 79-year-old man who walked away from a home earlier this week. Muhammad Shabbirhing was last seen after walking away from a home at 1915 Gable Cove Court in the Richmond area. Authorities were concerned about the man's condition because he has a cognitive impairment. The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office previously tweeted he was last seen on Berdette Road at about 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Search crews recovered a woman's body from Lake Livingston sometime between 9:30 and 10 a.m. Monday after she and her husband went missing on the lake Sunday evening. Captain Shawn Phillips with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said the woman's body was found near the Beacon Bay Marina on Lake Livingston. Phillips said there is at least one more victim, presumably the woman's husband, but there could be more. Chief Deputy Byron Lyons said the body was found by someone on a jet ski.

Comal County Corrections Officer Cynthia Young was killed when a suspected drunk driver hit her on July 4, the Comal County Sheriff's Office said. The sheriff's office said Young was walking back to the car with her family after watching fireworks in Marble Falls when the crash happened.
