Parker County sheriff's deputies and a neighbor rescued several children from a burning house south of Springtown early Thursday.
A 10-year-old girl inside the home in the 200 block of Kalinga Drive first noticed the flames around 3 a.m., Parker County EMS officials said. She grabbed an infant sibling and ran to a neighbor's house to alert them, officials said. Deputies arrived first and found flames shooting through the roof, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said.

They said they received a report of a man finding a $100 on the side of the road near 1484 Mexiner Road. The man was jogging when he found the money.

A wedding photographer was arrested Saturday night after authorities say she had sex with a wedding guest at the ceremony, urinated on a tree near the event and threatened deputies as she was being taken to jail.
The suspect was identified as Katherine Leigh Mehta, 26, of Arlington.

Inside and outside criminal justice circles it's understood that the U.S. prison system, including state-run, private and immigration detention facilities, needs restructuring. The overcrowding of jail and prison facilities alone has led to massive health problems and social conflicts, which can lead to increased inmate deaths.
