Six people were killed at a Texas campsite and a suspect has been arrested and charged in the weekend homicides, authorities said Monday. Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor said the bodies were found in rural Anderson County, southeast of Dallas.

One family is extra thankful this Thanksgiving due to the generosity of a Lewisville police officer.
Nicole Dean was driving home she saw flashing lights in her rearview mirror. She was worried she was about to get a ticket for a minor traffic violation.
The officer pulling her over was Jeremy Reyna. As he walked up to her door, he noticed her little boy in the back seat, sitting in a child safety seat that clearly had better days.

The National Fraternal Order of Police has asked for an exemption for certain off-duty and retired officers from the current ban on guns in NFL stadiums. Chuck Canterbury, the police union's president, wrote a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell making the request for the legal carrying of firearms in stadiums by certain individuals associated with law enforcement. In Texas, because state law takes precedent over NFL regulations, the league's policy does not affect Cowboys and Texans home games.

Smugglers, human traffickers and migrants entering the country illegally count on vast stretches of unguarded border to ensure safe passage.
