Bexar County sheriff throws holiday party for inmates' children

The Bexar County Sheriff's Department made sure Santa Claus didn't forget the children of the inmates at the county jail. The entire event was funded by the donations.
Sheriff's office employees have been collecting new toys at local shopping centers. This was the first year for the holiday party, and next year's party is expected to be even bigger.

State's 'most wanted' sex offender caught by Pittsburg County sheriff

The Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office arrested Robert Charles Grunsfeld, 51, in McAlester, according to Pittsburg County Sheriff Joel Kerns.
Grunsfeld is considered a sexually violent predator at high risk to re-offend, Kerns said.
North Texas police continue search for bogus officer

Carrollton police say the search for a police impersonator who recently sexually assaulted a woman is its top priority. The victim said the assailant was wearing a dark blue, long-sleeved shirt and pants, a badge, and even a gold name tag and belt with baton and handcuff

Judge says Colorado sheriffs cannot sue over gun laws

The tug of war between local, state and federal authorities over gun control laws continues in the state of Colorado. A federal judge recently ruled that sheriffs in Colorado can't sue over gun control laws. The lawsuit in question will go on, however, has there are 21 other plaintiffs associated with the case who are not affiliated with the sheriffs.

Arizona teen uses training to help officers track down would-be burglars
