Washington County Sheriff's Office asking for help in missing cold case

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in finding a man who has been missing for 23 years.
Orville Seaton, who was 71 years old at the time, was reported missing on Jan. 3, 1998 by his daughter. Today, he would be 94 years old. Seaton was last seen on Dec. 23, 1997 at a Navasota grocery store. An employee told law enforcement they saw Seaton in the parking lot. Seaton allegedly got into a gray, four-door car with a young, Black male.

Central Texas sheriff retires after 45 years in law enforcement

Almost half a century in law enforcement was celebrated in Groesbeck Tuesday at the retirement party for Limestone County Sheriff Dennis Wilson. More than 100 people came to the Groesbeck Convention Center for Sheriff Wilson's farewell ceremony which included about a dozen speeches from past and present state and local law enforcement officials as well as area politicians like Kyle Kacal and Pete Sessions.

Retired Houston officer fatally shot by neighbor in Kerr County, sheriff's office says

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led up to the fatal shooting of a retired Houston police officer who lives in a gated Kerr County neighborhood.
On Monday afternoon, deputies were called to the 500 block of Honor Drive after shots were fired, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Deputies learned that there was an argument between two residents in the subdivision that got heated and led to an exchange of gunfire.

Man wanted in Louisiana shooting killed in Harris County shooting

A man who was wanted in a Pineville, Louisiana, shooting case has been killed in Harris County, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office.
Ahmond Da'shawn Mason, 29, was one of two men found shot on Monday morning at an apartment complex in Spring, north of Houston. The sheriff's office says it was contacted on Wednesday by homicide investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
