From Dec. 4: Six people were killed at a Texas campsite and a suspect has been arrested and charged in the weekend homicides, authorities said Monday. Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor said the bodies were found in rural Anderson County, southeast of Dallas.

From Oct. 23: Tattoos are more than just a fad that will seemingly never jump the shark. Whether they are hidden on the lower back or cover the entirety of someones arm, tattoos are defining marks of people's personalities and in many cases, their criminal affiliations. The FBI is even developing a master database of tattoos since many transnational gangs heavily use tattoos to show their connections. It's something residents in Texas need to pay attention to.

From July 10: The Fayette County Sheriff's Office said Thursday it seized more than $2 million worth of heroin after its drug dog, Lobos, alerted deputies to a problem with a trailer frame. According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, a deputy pulled over a Ford Expedition on I-10 at mile marker 657 for a traffic violation around 7:45 a.m. Thursday. The sheriff's office said consent was given to search the vehicle, and Lobos began sniffing around the trailer.

From Nov. 6: Thirty-five years after an unknown teen was found dead, nude on the side of Interstate 45, authorities are again putting out the girl's description and a photo, in the hopes of finally identifying her. According to the Walker County Sheriff's Office, on Friday, Oct. 31, 1980, a white female 15-20 years of age arrived in Huntsville alone. She was seen by several citizens who also talked to her at two separate locations in town.

From July 24: Video has been released of an off-duty Mansfield, Texas, firefighter who executed a perfect WWE slam on a would-be robber at a gas station. At an Exxon Oasis Food Store in Midlothian, Daniel Gaskey, who not only serves as a firefighter but also served in the Marines, stood in front of the cashier when Dylan Bearden, 19, wearing a bandanna over his head and face, approached him from behind and pulled him to the side so Bearden could step in front of the cashier. Gaskey quietly drew aside and behind Bearden, raising his hands to indicate his acquiescence.

From Jan. 30: A Wise County Sheriff's Office K-9 officer has been shot dead, and the man believed to have killed the K-9 is also dead. According to authorities, a pursuit ensued after a male driver refused to pull over for Montague County Sheriff's deputies.

From May 22: Law enforcement officers plan to close a road leading to a planned motorcycle club rally in Palo Pinto County this weekend "for public safety reasons," Palo Pinto Sheriff Ira Mercer said Tuesday. The rallies are held on 23 acres in the town of Mingus, located about 65 miles west of Fort Worth. The land is owned by Cossacks Motorcycle Club Inc., according to public tax records.
Mercer said police and deputies plan to close Parsons Road, which is the only street leading to the property.
Mercer added he had talked to leaders of the Cossacks and asked them to cancel the rally because of what happened in Waco, where nine people were killed and 18 injured in a shootout Sunday near a Twin Peaks restaurant involving dozens of members of rival motorcycle groups.

From July 3: More than 40 men and women, including a rapper from Arkansas and a teacher, have been arrested during a weeks-long online prostitution sting conducted by the McLennan County Sheriff's Office. Forty-five people from ages 18 to 61 now face prostitution and human trafficking-related charges after Detectives Brad Bond and Joseph Scaramucci began posing as johns, adult prostitutes and underage prostitutes on June 1, a sheriff's office news release released Tuesday said.

From June 19: Early Tuesday, the Dallas County Sheriff's Office released two videos of deputies chasing and ultimately stopping an armored truck which led an assault on Dallas police headquarters over the weekend. Police say James Boulware lured officers to his suspicious-looking van outside their headquarters late Saturday, June 12, when he began firing upon them from inside. He then allegedly rammed patrol vehicles before fleeing.
An initial dashboard camera captured an offficer from the sheriff's department deploying "stop sticks" to stop the van just seconds before it came speeding through, just after midnight Sunday morning.

From Aug. 7: Texas sheriffs, the lieutenant governor and experts in immigration related issues met at the state Capitol on Wednesday to discuss the federal government's creation of a sanctuary state for criminal aliens through its Priority Enforcement Program (PEP).
Jackson County Sheriff A.J. (Andy) Louderback, immediate past president of the Sheriff's Association of Texas, told Breitbart Texas that the federal government's PEP program "has created a sanctuary state for criminal aliens because it has gutted the immigration system."
