Keynote Speaker: Charles Marshall
Charles Marshall is a nationally syndicated humor columnist and the author of the modern day motivational classic, Shattering the Glass Slipper and the popular book, I'm Not Crazy, But I Might Be A Carrier. In real life, heroes aren't the rock stars, movie stars or sports figures. Real life heroes are people who make a difference by believing in and investing in the lives of those around them. In this thoroughly inspiring and uplifting program, Charles publicly honors several in SCWA for their contributions and recognizes them as examples of what real heroes are. Wichita Falls car washes to close 1 day per week

An ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure
Professional Car Washing & Detailing
As we are in the midst of the busy car wash season, now is not the time to incur costly breakdowns preventing your wash from generating the revenue that will help you during those leaner months. Between the heavy washing periods during the day, take the time to check the little things that make a huge difference in your wash performance. Routine checks can result in cleaning better, using less chemicals and most importantly keeping your wash open during busy washing times.
New high-profile bipartisan group on immigration
The Associated Press via Midland Reporter-Telegram
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is part of a new bipartisan group that will push for an overhaul of the nation's immigration laws and a path to citizenship for the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States. The other co-chairs of the new effort are former Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell; former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros, a Democrat; and former Republican Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour. The high-profile group, brought together by the Bipartisan Policy Center in Washington, will aim to keep up momentum behind overhauling immigration and serve as a sounding board for policy makers, Rendell said.

P&Z approves one-of-a-kind, glass car wash
The Keller Citizen
A car wash made of glass could soon be built in Keller, Texas, if council approves the item Feb. 19. A unanimous vote by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Jan. 28 recommended approval for Fender's Car Wash, a 5,185 square-foot automatic car wash with self-service vacuum stations. Applicant Billy Ricketts assured commissioners this would not be just another car wash, but rather something unique and "a building like no others."
