Repeat customers 5 steps to keep them coming back
Auto Laundry News
Ask any car wash operator, or any business owner for that matter, what their top three priorities are, and customer retention is sure to make the list. Unfortunately, like dieting, and other intentions that often appear as perennial New Year Resolutions, effective customer retention strategies are rarely implemented. It's a little surprising when you think about it.
Small-business optimism in US climbs for 3rd straight month
Confidence among U.S. small businesses rose in February for a third month as more company leaders said they will invest in equipment and stockpiles. Texas House committee approves $2 billion water fund
The Dallas Morning News
Lawmakers recently took the first step to setting up a $2 billion fund to finance water projects across the state. Members of the House Natural Resources Committee approved a plan that would take the money from the state’s Rainy Day Fund and create the State Water Infrastructure Fund of Texas, intended to leverage bond financing for new reservoirs, pipelines, desalination plants and conservation projects. Texas needs to spend about $53 billion over the next 50 years to meet the water needs of the growing population, according to the State Water Development Board. About half of that needs to come from the state.
For Obamacare to work, small employers must embrace exchanges
In the three years since President Obama signed his health-care overhaul into law, the Affordable Care Act has survived virulent opposition, multiple repeal attempts, and a U.S. Supreme Court challenge led by influential lobbying groups, including the National Federation for Independent Business. Many conservative lawmakers remain firmly opposed: Recently, Rep. Charles Boustany, R-La., held a hearing in Washington on Obamacare, saying it threatens "to stifle small business growth across all industries" and "provides economic incentives to reduce employee hours and drop health insurance coverage altogether." To help deliver on his promise to offer quality, affordable health care to the nation's 48.6 million uninsured, Obama needs to get a lot more of the nation's small businesses to offer coverage to their employees.
