Dealer work: Evaluate your ability to deliver
Auto Laundry News
It is one thing to deal with a retail customer who stops in your shop or calls on the telephone for a detail job. Welcome to the 'Double El Nino' — and more extreme weather
Public Radio International
We’re about to experience a "double El Nino" — a rare weather phenomenon that climatologists had warned about several months ago. That means two consecutive years of the concentration of warm water in the Pacific Ocean that brings West Coast storms, quiet hurricane seasons in the Atlantic and busy ones in the Pacific. The danger is that this could mean more than a few months of odd weather, but instead usher in a new phase of climate change. Last year was the warmest year on record; 2015 looks set to be even warmer.

Solar washes: Brightening the future
Professional Carwashing & Detailing
Solar energy is rapidly becoming an affordable resource. Many have been caught off guard by the sudden increase in affordability. In less than a decade, the costs have been cut in half. The cost of an average rooftop system in 2005 was between $40,000 and $50,000, and in 2013 the average was just over $20,000 — and falling. These costs coupled with government rebates and tax credits have made solar installation an affordable reality. The decreases in costs are the result of economies of scale.

Size — Is big in your future?
Auto Laundry News
Reportedly, Mr. Wash Autoservice AG located in Stuttgart, Germany is now the world’s biggest or fanciest car wash. At a cost of $40 million, the site can handle 400 cars an hour, 50,000 a month, and 500,000 a year. By contrast, the largest car wash project Robert Roman has been involved with as an advisor occupies roughly three acres of land and cost nearly $14 million to develop. One portion of this property has a tunnel, detail facility, self-serve vacuum and full-serve oil change. The other portion has gas sales, a convenience store and a quick-service restaurant drive-thru.
