Routine maintenance: Pay attention and avoid costly repairs
Auto Laundry News
Benjamin Franklin believed, "failing to plan, is planning to fail." In the car wash industry, savvy operators know that "failing to maintain equipment, is planning to fail." There are many factors that can contribute to the successful operation of a car wash, including location, customer service, pricing and reliable equipment that doesn’t break down. A car wash that is often closed due to mechanical problems is not going to stay in business for long.
Got competition? Emerge triumphant with a unique identity
Professional Carwashing & Detailing
The car wash industry generally requires a low investment to enter, a fact proven by the large presence washes have in big cities and small towns alike. Every car wash claims to get cars clean, and this is the most basic reason why customers visit them. If this is true, how do individual car washes convince clients to choose their locations over the ones a few minutes away?

Jim and Teri Rooney founded National Detailers Inc. in 1997. The company specializes in automotive detailing and fleet management at special events across the country. The Rooneys had several successful years, but they eventually wanted to spend less time on the road.
Jim and Teri felt their expertise could be put to use in their local market of Knoxville, Tennessee. "Carwashing soon became the next logical extension of our company," says Jim Rooney, owner/operator of 3 Minute Magic Car Wash and NDI Group.

Save water and money — Partner with your municipality
Auto Laundry News
Partnering with your municipality doesn’t end with getting permitted and final approval for occupancy of your car wash. In some areas you may be required to have your effluent discharge tested for quality. Some locales may want to limit your freshwater usage and discharge volumes. In almost all applications you will be interfacing with them on your water and sewer billing as well. Managing the water at your car wash is an important part of your interface with your municipality.
3-year-old dies after drinking cleaning product at South Texas car wash

Don't let desperation drive your decisions
By Anne Rose
You're short-handed and desperately need to hire another employee, so you hire the first breathing person that mails in a job application. Or maybe your bank account is desperately low and you need a client fast, so you accept the first prospective customer who calls on the phone. We've all been in those situations and know the fear and panic that can set in. But when desperation drives an impetuous decision, it seldom solves your initial problem and usually adds more problems. The wrong person is worse than no person.
